A free workshop for community groups on ‘Good Governance’ will take place at the Desmond Complex, Newcastle West this evening, Tuesday June 13th from 7.30-9.30pm. Governance refers to how an organisation is run, directed and controlled. Good governance means an organisation will design and put in place policies and procedures that will make sure the organisation runs effectively.
All Community, Voluntary and Charitable Organisations have a responsibility to provide and follow a code of good practice when it comes to how their organisations are run. This workshop is designed to practically help you achieve good governance within your organisation.
